[권익위/CTN]가요진 기자= 김응태 국민권익위원회 심사보호국장은 "부패행위로 면직된 공직자가 공공기관, 업무 관련 업체 등에 위법하게 재취업하지 않도록 철저히 점검하고, 이를 통해 청렴한 공직사회가 구현되도록 더욱 노력하겠다"라고 말했다. 국민권익위원회는 최근 5년간 직무 관련 부패행위로 당연퇴직, 파면, 해임된 공직자 1,515명을 대상으로 상반기 실태점검을 실시해 취업제한 규정을 위반한 17명을 적발했다고 밝혔다.
부패방지권익위법에 따르면 부패행위로 면직되거나 퇴직 후 벌금 300만 원 이상의 형이 확정된 공직자는 5년간 공공기관, 부패행위 관련 기관, 퇴직 전 5년간 소속됐던 부서와 밀접한 관련이 있는 영리사기업체 등에 취업할 수 없다. 이번 점검 결과 위반자들이 취업한 곳은 공공기관 7명, 업무 관련 업체 6명, 부패행위 관련 기관 4명으로 집계됐다.
주요 위반 사례를 보면 A기관 전 차장은 금품 및 향응 수수로 해임된 후 이전 소속 부서와 용역 계약을 체결했던 업체에 취업해 월 300만 원 이상의 급여를 받은 것으로 드러났다. B기관 전 본부장 역시 파면 이후 소속 부서에서 보증서를 발급해주던 업무 관련 업체로 재취업했다.
특히 과거 적발되어 고발 조치됐음에도 또다시 불법 취업을 감행한 상습 위반 사례도 다수 포함됐다. C기관 전 차장은 본인 소유 법인에 과도한 대출을 해주고 면직된 후 부패행위 관련 기관에 재취업해 2025년 하반기 고발됐으나, 이번 점검에서 다른 부패행위 관련 기관에 다시 취업한 사실이 밝혀졌다. D기관 전 직원 역시 공공기관 4곳에 중복 취업해 적발된 바 있으나 또 다른 공공기관에 재취업했다가 적발됐다.
국민권익위원회는 적발된 17명 중 10명을 고발 조치하고 이 중 불법 취업 상태인 7명에 대해 취업해제 조치를 요구하는 한편, 최저임금 수준의 생계형 취업자 7명에 대해서는 해당 기관에 재발방지 주의 조치를 요구할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

ACRC stated that it plans to file criminal complaints against 10 violators, request employment termination for 7 currently employed individuals, and issue caution notices to institutions regarding 7 subsistence-level employment cases.
