특히 올해는 9월까지 일상을 기록하는 '버디 미션로그', 10월에는 지역 명소를 방문하는 '버디 투어' 등을 연계해 대대적으로 청년 네트워크를 정착시키겠다고 홍보에 나섰지만, 이는 취업난과 정주 인프라 부족으로 떠나는 청년들의 발길을 돌리기엔 역부족인 행정 편의주의적 구상일 뿐이라는 지적이다. 최근 인구 소멸 위기 속에서 지자체들이 청년 유치 실적 쌓기에 급급해 예산을 쪼개 쓰며 보여주기식 친목 행사를 연례행사처럼 되풀이하고 있을 뿐, 영세 소상공인과의 인턴십 연계나 정착 지원금 확대 등 청년들이 현장에서 체감할 수 있는 실무적이고 구체적인 자립 생태계 조성 노력이 보이지 않는다는 점은 전시 행정의 단면을 보여준다.

이러한 보여주기식 친목 도모의 한계를 넘어서려면 단순 매칭이나 미션 수행에 그칠 것이 아니라, 청년들의 전공과 경력 데이터를 실시간으로 분류해 관내 유망 기업 및 강소농과 취업을 직접 연계하는 'AI 기반 청년 매칭·일자리 통합 지원 시스템'을 시 당국이 선제적으로 도입해야 한다. 나아가 일회성 파티나 투어 행사에 예산을 낭비하기보다, 전입 청년들을 위한 공공임대주택 보증금 직접 보조나 지역 정착 초기 비용을 실무적으로 지원하는 '청년 정착 자립 펀드'를 상설 가동해야만 청년들의 지역 유입과 실질적인 지속 가능성을 담보할 수 있을 것이다.

Amid the recent population extinction crisis, local governments are rushing to stack performance results for attracting youth, repeatedly spending fragmented budgets on show-style social events like annual routine operations. The lack of practical and concrete self-reliance ecosystem developments—such as linking internships with local small businesses or expanding settlement subsidies—plainly exposes the reality of its exhibition administration.

To overcome the limitations of such show-style social gatherings, the city must move beyond simple matching or mission execution and instead establish an "AI-based Youth Matching and Job Integrated Support System" that categorizes youth major and career data in real time to directly link employment with promising enterprises and small farms in the jurisdiction. Furthermore, rather than wasting budget on one-off parties or tour ceremonies, the city should prioritize practical administrative support measures, such as directly subsidizing public housing deposits for transferred youth or permanently operating a 'Youth Settlement Self-Reliance Fund' to provide initial costs, to substantially guarantee the local influx of youth and true sustainability.
