[해수부/CTN]가요진 기자= 황종우 해양수산부 장관은 "기후변화와 생산비 상승 등 급변하는 양식환경에 대비하기 위해서는 혁신을 통한 산업경쟁력 강화가 필요하다"라며 "현장과 연구와 정책이 유기적으로 연결되어 현장의 목소리가 정책이 되고, 연구의 성과가 현장에서 실용화되는 선순환 구조를 만들어 나가겠다"라고 말했다.

해양수산부는 황종우 장관이 9월 10일 경기도 여주시에서 열린 '2026년 내수면 양식 경쟁력 강화를 위한 미래전략 심포지엄'에 참석했다고 밝혔다.

이날 현장에는 국립수산과학원, 지자체, 한국내수면양식단체연합회, 어업인 등 120여 명이 참석해 정책 방안을 논의했다.

황 장관은 행사에 앞서 간담회를 열어 환태평양경제동지협정(CPTPP) 가입 논의와 관련한 어민들의 우려와 건의사항을 청취했다.

이어 김선교 국회 농림축산식품해양수산위원회 의원 및 내수면 양식 단체장들과 함께 최근 어려움을 겪는 양만업계 현장을 방문했다.

해양수산부는 현장 어가들의 애로사항을 바탕으로 연구 성과가 실제 양식 현장에 실용화될 수 있도록 정책적 지원을 이어갈 계획이다.

해양수산부는 기후변화에 대응하는 내수면 양식 산업 지원 체계를 지속적으로 정비하겠다고 밝혔다.

Around 120 representatives from local governments, research institutes, and aquaculture associations attended the event to share policy directions.

Prior to the symposium, Minister Hwang held a meeting with local fishermen to hear their concerns regarding potential CPTPP accession and visited local eel farming facilities.
