Gyu-hyung Cho, Director of the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center, stated, "We hope families visit the palace during the Chuseok holiday to reflect on the meaning of family and experience our history and culture."
Director Cho added, "We will do our best to ensure participants enjoy a refined experience in the historic setting of Munjeongjeon."
The Royal Palaces and Tombs Center under the National Heritage Administration announced it will host the Autumn 2026 'Changgyeonggung Yayeon' from September 24 to October 4 in collaboration with the Korea Heritage Agency.
Inspired by 19th-century royal banquets organized by Crown Prince Hyomyung, the event allows one parent per family to dress in Joseon Dynasty official attire and participate in traditional banquets.
Held at Munjeongjeon Hall in Changgyeonggung Palace, the program includes portrait photography, family video messages, royal court dessert tastings, and traditional performances.
Tickets go on sale via Ticketlink starting September 8 at 2 PM, priced at 50,000 KRW per package, which admits one main participant and two accompanying family members.
The Royal Palaces and Tombs Center stated it will also offer free performance viewing areas for up to 70 walk-in visitors per session.
