[질병관리청/CTN]가요진 기자= 임승관 질병관리청장은 "이번 협약은 손상조사 심층자료와 국가응급진료정보망의 응급진료 정보를 연계·활용할 수 있는 협력 기반을 마련했다는 데 의미가 있다"라며 "손상 발생부터 응급진료와 치료까지 단계별 데이터를 구축해 국민의 생명과 안전을 지키겠다"라고 말했다. 질병관리청과 국립중앙의료원은 양 기관이 보유한 손상 및 응급의료 데이터의 연계와 활용을 확대하기 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 8월 27일 체결했다.
이번 협약은 질병청의 퇴원손상심층조사·응급실손상환자심층조사 등 손상 감시 자료와 국립중앙의료원이 국가응급진료정보망(NEDIS)을 통해 수집하는 응급진료 정보를 상호 보완하기 위해 추진됐다. 양 기관은 각자 축적해 온 정보 체계를 결합해 손상환자의 발생 특성과 응급치료 과정을 종합 분석할 수 있는 기반을 다지겠다는 구상이다.
이에 따라 두 기관은 손상·응급의료 통합데이터 구축을 위한 자료 공유, 통계정보 생산·관리 협력, 국가 종합 응급의료 통계 및 국가손상종합통계 개발을 위한 공동 연구를 진행한다. 서길준 국립중앙의료원장은 양 기관의 데이터를 바탕으로 국가종합응급의료통계를 발전시키고 현장에 활용할 근거를 강화하겠다고 밝혔다.
