[재외동포청/CTN]가요진 기자= 김경협 재외동포청장은 "동포 청년들이 모국에서 가능성을 발견하고 전문성을 갖춘 인재로 성장하는 것은 우리 사회의 다양성을 높이는 데에도 의미가 있다"라며 "동포 청년들이 국내 산업현장에서 역량을 발휘하고 거주국을 잇는 인재로 성장하도록 적극 뒷받침하겠다"라고 말했다. 재외동포청은 '동포청년 취업지원사업' 개소식을 개최하고 교육과정을 가동한다고 밝혔다.
동포청에 따르면 이번 사업은 중남미, 중국, 중앙아시아 등 12개국 동포 청년을 대상으로 10개월간 한국어 교육과 한식조리·제과제빵 실습을 진행하는 프로젝트다.
청은 '한국어 향상-직업훈련-자격증 취득-취업-국내정착'으로 이어지는 단계별 체계를 구축해 청년들의 자립을 지원할 방침이다.
