[질병관리청/CTN]가요진 기자= 전재필 국립보건연구원 미래의료연구부장이 정밀의료 사업의 취지를 강조하며 "혁신형 바이오뱅크 컨소시엄은 고품질 인체자원과 심층 데이터를 기반으로 정밀의료 실용화를 촉진하는 국가 연구사업"이라며 "앞으로도 국민이 체감할 수 있는 희귀·난치질환 정밀의료 연구를 지속적으로 지원하고, 연구성과를 국민과 연구자에게 적극 공유하여 국가 바이오헬스 경쟁력 강화에 기여하겠다"라고 강조했다. 질병관리청(청장 임승관) 국립보건연구원은 정밀의료 연구 기반을 강화하기 위해 '혁신형 바이오뱅크 컨소시엄 지원사업'에 사망 기증자 유래 정상조직 분야를 새롭게 추가한다.
국립보건연구원에 따르면 그동안 질환자 중심 인체자원 수집에서 벗어나 사망 기증자의 정상 장기조직까지 수집 범위를 넓혀 질환 조직과의 비교·연구 기반을 다지게 된다.
이번 사업을 통해 누적 3,648명분의 인체유래물을 구축하고 SCI 논문 46편과 특허 10건 등의 성과를 올렸으며, '2025 국립중앙인체자원은행 연보' 발간을 통해 누적 139만 명분의 인체자원 확보 실적을 공개했다.
