이번 봉사활동은 생활 불편을 겪던 돌봄대상자 어르신이 '농업인행복콜센터'를 통해 지원을 요청하며 추진됐다.

접수 후 현장에 출동한 'NH농촌현장봉사단'은 사전 실사를 거친 뒤, 농협 직원과 자원봉사자들의 자발적인 참여로 오래된 외벽 도색 작업을 진행하는 등 어르신의 고충을 해소했다.

지원을 받은 성연면 거주 양 모(88) 어르신은 "평소 생활에 불편함이 많았지만 도움을 요청할 곳이 마땅치 않아 힘들었는데, 농업인행복콜센터와 농협 덕분에 걱정을 덜었다"며 깊은 감사의 뜻을 전했다.

박상순 성연농협 조합장은 "농촌의 인구 감소와 고령화로 인해 복지 사각지대에 놓인 어르신들이 늘어나고 있다"며 "취약계층을 위한 맞춤형 복지서비스를 지속해서 제공해 농업인의 삶의 질을 높이는 데 최선을 다하겠다"고 강조했다.

한편, '농업인행복콜센터(☎1522-5000)'는 70세 이상 고령·취약·홀몸농업인을 대상으로 말벗 상담 등 정서적 지원부터 생활불편 해소, 긴급출동 연계까지 다양한 맞춤형 복지서비스를 제공하고 있다.

서비스 이용을 원하는 농업인은 인근 농·축협을 통해 대상자로 신청할 수 있다.

This activity was initiated after a senior citizen in need of care, who was experiencing daily living difficulties, contacted the "Farmer Happiness Call Center" for assistance. Upon receiving the request, the "NH Rural Volunteer Corps" dispatched a team to inspect the site. Following the assessment, Agricultural Cooperative employees and volunteers joined forces to repaint the worn exterior walls of the elderly farmer's home, successfully addressing the resident's difficulties.
Yang (88), an elderly resident of Seongyeon-myeon who received the support, expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, "I faced many difficulties in daily life, but I had nowhere to turn for help. I am truly thankful to the Farmer Happiness Call Center and the Agricultural Cooperative for their timely assistance."
Park Sang-soon, President of Seongyeon Agricultural Cooperative, stated, "Due to population decline and aging in rural communities, many elderly residents remain in welfare blind spots. We will continue our efforts to improve the quality of life for farmers by providing diverse welfare services tailored to vulnerable groups."
Meanwhile, the 'Farmer Happiness Call Center (☎1522-5000)' offers customized welfare services for farmers aged 70 and older who are elderly, vulnerable, or living alone. The center provides emotional support, resolves daily living inconveniences, and coordinates emergency dispatches. Registration for the program can be requested at nearby local Agricultural and Livestock Cooperatives.
