서산시가족센터(센터장 류순희)는 지난 4일(토), 취약·위기가족지원사업 사례관리 대상 12가족(30명)을 위해 국립해양생물자원관 씨큐리움(서천)에서 교육문화프로그램 3차 ‘가족놀이터’를 성황리에 개최했다.

이번 행사는 단순한 주말 나들이를 넘어, 가족 간의 깊은 정을 확인하고 소중한 추억의 켜를 쌓는 뜻깊은 자리로 채워졌다.

웅장한 해양생물 전시관에 들어선 아이들의 눈은 호기심으로 반짝였고, 부모들의 얼굴에는 오랫동안 잊고 지냈던 미소가 피어났다.

단순히 눈으로만 보는 관람에 그치지 않았다. 해양 연체동물 퀴즈 풀기에서는 온 가족이 머리를 맞대고 정답을 찾으며 자연스러운 대화의 물꼬를 텄다.

이어진 ‘전복 자개 공예 체험’에서는 알록달록 빛나는 자개 조각을 정성스레 붙이며 서로를 도와주는 따뜻한 풍경이 연출됐다. 손끝에서 탄생한 영롱한 자개 작품처럼, 가족들의 마음에도 영롱한 추억 하나가 얹어진 순간이었다.

행사에 참여한 한 부모는 “평소 일에 치여 아이들과 깊은 대화를 나누지 못해 늘 미안했는데, 오늘 함께 퀴즈를 풀고 공예품을 만들며 정말 오랜만에 소리 내어 웃었다”며 “아이의 새로운 모습을 발견한 소중한 시간이었다”고 소회를 전했다.

류순희 서산시가족센터장은 “가족이 함께 공유하는 작은 경험 하나가 서로를 더 깊이 이해하고 단단하게 연결해 주는 가장 강력한 힘이 된다”며, “앞으로도 우리 지역의 모든 가족이 일상 속에서 자연스럽게 소통하고 건강한 관계를 이어갈 수 있도록, 한층 더 풍성하고 다채로운 프로그램을 끊임없이 선사하겠다”고 전했다.

[CTN/Seosan] Reporter Keum-hyun Ga = In an era where daily busyness and smartphone screens often steal away quality eye contact, a truly special and heartwarming day was gifted to twelve families in Seosan.
On Saturday the 4th, the Seosan Family Center (Director Soon-hee Ryu) successfully hosted its 3rd Educational and Cultural Program, ‘Family Playground,’ at the SeaQrium of the National Marine Biodiversity Institute of Korea (Seocheon) for 30 members from 12 families under case management for vulnerable/in-crisis family support. Moving beyond a simple weekend outing, the event was filled with meaningful moments that reaffirmed deep family bonds and built cherished memories.

As they entered the grand marine life exhibition, children’s eyes sparkled with curiosity, while long-forgotten smiles brightened the parents' faces.
The experience went far beyond simple sightseeing. During the marine mollusk quiz, entire families put their heads together to find answers, naturally opening up channels of joyful communication. In the subsequent "Abalone Mother-of-Pearl Craft" session, heart-warming scenes unfolded as family members helped each other carefully place shimmering pieces of mother-of-pearl. Just like the radiant craft pieces created by their hands, a glowing memory was etched into each family's heart.
A participating parent shared, "I always felt guilty for not having meaningful conversations with my children due to work, but today we laughed out loud for the first time in a long while while solving quizzes and crafting together. It was a precious time to discover a new side of my child."
