[사회/CTN]가금현 기자 = 세계평화통일가정연합(한국협회장 송용천, 이하 가정연합)은 현충일을 맞아 지난 6월 6일부터 7일까지 이틀간 경기도 가평 청심국제청소년수련원에서 '2026 신한국 효동총회'를 성공적으로 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사에는 전국 각지에서 어린이(효동) 1,500명과 학부모 1,000명 등 총 2,500여 명이 참가해 대성황을 이뤘다.

이번 효동총회는 13세 이하 어린이와 그 가족을 대상으로 진행됐다.

부모의 신앙을 아름답게 상속받아 미래 한국 사회에 기여하는 건강한 가정을 이루고, 올바른 가족공동체 문화를 다음 세대로 이어가자는 취지에서 마련됐다.

이날 송용천 한국협회장은 ‘효동’이라는 아름다운 이름이 가진 기원과 의미를 설명하며, 어린이들이 일상에서 실천해야 할 두 가지 약속으로 ▲형제자매 간의 사랑과 화합 ▲몸과 마음의 건강한 성장을 제시했다.

이어 “세상을 맑고 깨끗하게 정화하는 ‘퓨어워터(Pure Water)’의 본성을 기억하며 멋진 효동으로 자라나길 바란다”고 따뜻한 격려를 건넸다.

또한, 송 협회장은 가정연합의 허리 역할을 하는 3040 청년세대 부모들을 향해 “가정연합의 미래를 품고 있는 세대로서 거룩한 책임을 외롭게 감당하지 말고, 부모들끼리 서로 깊이 연대해 고민을 나누며 든든한 언덕이 되어달라”고 당부했다.

현장 목회자들에게도 “아이들의 이름을 직접 따뜻하게 불러주고, 단 한 명의 아이도 외롭지 않게 보살피는 ‘사랑의 다리’가 되어달라”고 강조했다.

이번 행사는 ‘웰컴 투 퓨어랜드’라는 주제 아래, 순수하고 평화로운 세상을 상징하는 가상의 세계 ‘퓨어랜드’ 캐릭터 스토리를 접목했다.

이를 통해 아이들에게 사랑과 화해의 가치를 친근하게 전달했으며, 어린이들의 맑고 깨끗한 본성을 ‘퓨어워터(Pure Water)’라는 정체성으로 각인시키며 건강한 가치관 형성을 도왔다.

이틀간 진행된 프로그램은 어린이들의 눈높이에 맞춰 다채롭고 풍성하게 구성됐다.

첫째 날에는 눈을 사로잡는 버블 마술쇼를 시작으로, 퓨어랜드 캐릭터 ‘퓨어랑’과 ‘워터랑’의 이야기를 미션으로 풀어낸 명랑운동회 ‘퓨어랜드 대모험’이 펼쳐졌다.

난이도별 30여 종의 게임으로 구성된 이 프로그램은 단순한 놀이를 넘어 포용과 협력의 메시지를 자연스럽게 체득할 수 있도록 기획돼 큰 호응을 얻었다.

저녁 시간에 이어진 ‘어울림마당’은 문화와 기술의 체험 장이 됐다. VR·AR 체험, AI 오목로봇 체험, 직업 의상 체험, 만들기 공방, 먹거리 부스 등 다채로운 즐길 거리가 마련됐다.

이와 함께 전문 강사가 진행하는 미술치료 프로그램도 동시에 진행돼, 어린이와 3040 청년세대 학부모가 마음을 터놓고 깊이 교감·소통하는 소중한 시간을 가졌다.

가정연합 관계자는 “오늘날 우리가 행복한 가정을 이룰 수 있는 것은 나라를 지켜주신 순국선열과 앞선 세대의 숭고한 희생이 있었기 때문”이라며, “현충일의 의미를 가슴 깊이 되새기며, 우리 어린이들이 우리 사회에 긍정적인 기여를 하는 건강하고 행복한 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 앞으로도 지속적인 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 전했다.

Under the theme "Welcome to Pureland," the event utilized a character story from a fictional, peaceful world called 'Pureland' to convey the values of love and reconciliation to the children in an approachable way. In particular, it emphasized the pure and clean nature of children through the identity of 'Pure Water,' helping the future generation form healthy values.
The two-day program was filled with diverse activities tailored to children's perspectives. On the first day, starting with a bubble magic show, a lively sports day titled "Pureland Adventure" took place, where children solved missions based on the stories of Pureland characters 'Pure-rang' and 'Water-rang.' Comprising 30 games of varying difficulty levels, this program was designed to help children naturally internalize messages of inclusion and cooperation beyond simple play.
During the evening "Eoullim Madang" (Festival of Harmony), participants enjoyed a wide range of attractions, including VR/AR experiences, AI Omok (Gomoku) robot trials, career costume experiences, craft workshops, and food booths, receiving an enthusiastic response. Alongside these activities, an art therapy program conducted by professional instructors provided a meaningful time for children and their 3040 generation parents to deeply connect and communicate.
An FFWPU official stated, "The reason we can enjoy happy families today is thanks to the noble sacrifices of our patriotic martyrs and preceding generations who protected our nation." The official added, "Reflecting on the meaning of Memorial Day, we will continue to provide unyielding support so that our children can grow into healthy, happy individuals who contribute to society."
