[국방부/CTN]가요진 기자= 원종대 국방부 차관보는 "이번 드론 기술전은 단순히 새로운 장비를 보여주는 행사가 아니라 민간의 우수한 기술을 군이 직접 확인하고 시험하며 실제 전력으로 발전시키기 위한 자리였다"라며 "앞으로도 민·관·군 협력을 강화해 빠르게 발전하는 드론 기술을 우리 군의 전력으로 신속하게 연결할 수 있도록 노력하겠다"라고 말했다.
국방부는 9월 16일 경기도 포천 승진훈련장에서 '2026 국방 드론 기술전'을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이날 현장에는 주한미군, 국내외 기업 관계자, 군 장병 및 주민 등 2,000여 명이 참석했다.
전시장에는 자폭드론, 고속제트무인기, 레이저기반 대드론체계 등 국내 기업과 연구기관이 개발한 장비들이 공개됐다.
비행 시연에서는 AI 군집드론, 초고속 요격드론, 대드론 하드킬 체계 등 실제 운용 환경을 가정한 시연이 이뤄졌다.
국방부는 민간 기술의 신속한 군 적용을 지원하기 위해 총 9개 부대를 드론·대드론 실증전담부대로 확대 지정했다.
국방부는 향후 육해공군 전반으로 실증 환경을 넓혀 유무인복합체계 구축을 가속하겠다고 밝혔다.
