[익산/CTN]최동주 기자= 김종화 익산시 소상공인과장은 "중앙동 치맥 페스티벌은 익산의 특색 있는 먹거리 콘텐츠를 알리는 동시에 소상공인과 원도심에 활력을 불어넣는 지역 상생형 축제다"라며 "시민과 관광객들이 맛있는 음식과 공연을 즐기며 특별한 추억을 만들 수 있도록 안전하고 내실 있게 준비하겠다"라고 말했다. 익산시는 중앙동 치킨로드 일원에서 '2026 중앙동 치맥 페스티벌'을 연다고 밝혔다.
익산시에 따르면 이번 행사는 지역 대표 브랜드와 치킨로드 사업자, 푸드트럭 등이 참여해 20개 먹거리 부스를 운영하며, 초청 가수 공연과 EDM 파티 등을 함께 진행한다.
시는 지역 상품권 결제 시 포인트 지급 혜택과 응급 의료·교통 통제 대책을 마련해 방문객 유입과 원도심 상권 활성화를 도모한다는 방침이다.
