[사회/CTN]가금현 기자= 한국동서발전㈜ 당진발전본부(본부장 도순구)가 호국보훈의 달을 앞두고 취약계층 및 국가유공자 유가족을 위한 주거환경 개선에 나섰다.
당진발전본부는 지난 5월 12일과 13일 양일간, 당진 관내 취약계층 가구를 대상으로 진행한 ‘신박한 에너지 정리 30호’ 사업을 성황리에 마쳤다고 밝혔다.
이번 30호점 대상 가구는 6·25 참전용사인 국가유공자의 유가족(조손가정)이 거주하는 곳으로, 6월 호국보훈의 달을 앞두고 시행되어 의미를 더했다.
'신박한 에너지 정리'는 지난 2021년 1호 가구를 시작으로 통산 30회째를 맞이한 한국동서발전의 대표적인 사회공헌 사업이다.
취약계층 가정의 도배, 단열, LED 조명 교체 등을 지원하여 주거환경을 개선하는 동시에 주택 내 에너지 효율을 높이는 데 기여해 왔다.
이번에 선정된 송악읍 소재의 가구는 외벽 균열 등 주택 노후화가 심각해 단열이 전혀 되지 않는 등 거주 환경이 매우 열악한 상태였다.
이에 당진발전본부는 주택 내부에 도배, 장판, 단열 및 창호 교체 등 전반적인 리모델링 공사를 전개했다. 특히 당진발전본부 임직원들이 직접 현장을 찾아 고효율 LED 조명을 설치하고 가전을 운반하는 등 적극적으로 일손을 보태며 땀방울을 흘렸다.
도순구 당진발전본부장은 "신박한 에너지 정리는 단순한 집수리를 넘어, 가정 내 에너지 효율화에도 실질적인 기여를 할 수 있는 뜻깊은 사업으로 앞으로도 지역사회에 따뜻한 온기를 전할 수 있는 다양한 복지 사업을 지속적으로 펼쳐나가겠다"고 말했다.

The designated home for the 30th project, located in Songak-eup, was in a severely dilapidated state. With noticeable cracks in the exterior walls and virtually no insulation, the living conditions were highly precarious.
In response, the Dangjin Power Generation Site executed comprehensive renovation works, including wallpapering, flooring, insulation, and window replacements. Furthermore, the site's executives and employees actively volunteered on-site, installing high-efficiency LED lights and moving household appliances to lend a helping hand.
