시는 한국관광공사가 주관하는 민관 협업 관광교통 활성화 지원사업 공모에 최종 선정됐다고 19일 밝혔다. 이번 사업은 개별 관광객의 이동 편의를 획기적으로 높이고 관광택시 등 지역 내 잠들어 있던 관광교통 서비스를 활성화하기 위해 추진되는 핵심 프로젝트다.
천안시는 이번 공모 선정에 따라 누적 가입자를 대거 보유한 대형 모바일 모빌리티 플랫폼인 티머니GO 앱과 연계한 혁신적인 관광택시 상품을 전국 무대에 선보인다. 특히 오는 6월부터 티머니GO 앱에 정식 등록된 천안 관광택시 상품을 대상으로 최대 50%에 달하는 파격적인 할인 프로모션을 전격 진행해 초기 이용객 확보와 인지도 제고에 사활을 걸 계획이다.
이와 함께 천안시는 티머니GO 플랫폼 내 메인 상품 노출과 배너 광고는 물론, 누리소통망 온라인 채널과 기자단 등을 활용한 전국 단위의 전방위적 홍보마케팅 지원도 전액 국비성 원스톱으로 받게 된다. 시는 기존에 지역 내 오프라인 홍보에 머물렀던 관광택시 운영 체계가 스마트 온라인 플랫폼 기반으로 전격 전환됨에 따라, 수도권을 비롯한 전국 각지의 개별 관광객 유입이 급증하고 고사 위기에 처한 지역 경제 활성화에도 크게 기여할 것으로 확신하고 있다.

The city is confident that as the tourism taxi system—previously limited to local offline promotions—shifts completely to a smart online platform base, the influx of individual tourists from across the nation, including the metropolitan area, will surge, thereby greatly contributing to revitalizing the local economy facing a crisis.
