[산업부/CTN]가요진 기자= 김정관 산업통상자원부 장관은 "위축됐던 대중 소비재 수출이 민관의 일치된 노력으로 최근 의미 있는 우상향 흐름을 보이고 있다"라며 "권역별 수출 상황과 평가를 토대로 하반기 기업 지원 활동에 더욱 박차를 가해 연말까지 수출 확대 모멘텀을 이어가겠다"라고 말했다. 산업통상자원부는 장관 주재로 주중 공관 상무관 및 KOTRA 무역관장 등이 참석한 '대중 소비재 수출 점검회의'를 열었다.
산업부에 따르면 올해 상반기 대중 소비재 수출은 패션과 식품 등의 호조에 힘입어 전년 동기 대비 8.7% 증가한 34.4억 달러를 기록했다.
정부는 이러한 흐름을 이어가기 위해 샤오홍슈, 도우인 등 현지 플랫폼 활용 라이브커머스 지원, 오프라인 K-소비재 팝업스토어 운영, 내륙지역 물류데스크 신설 등 하반기 특화 지원책을 추진한다는 방침이다.
글로벌 경기 변동성 속에서 대중 수출 실적을 점검하고 현지 유통망 확보와 물류 인프라 지원안을 모색하는 것은 통상 당국의 기본 임무다.
다만 그간의 대중 수출 감소에 따른 기저효과와 민간 기업들의 자체적인 시장 개척 성과를 마치 정부 정책의 치적인 양 포장하며 'V자 반등'을 자화자찬하는 것은 보여주기식 행정이라는 지적을 피하기 어렵다. 기존의 팝업스토어나 라이브커머스 지원 같은 상투적인 마케팅 사업을 재탕하는 데 머물 것이 아니라, 중국 당국의 까다로운 비관세 장벽과 인증 규제 해소 등 현지 우리 기업들이 체감할 수 있는 실질적인 통상 해법 마련으로 성과를 증명해야 한다.
