[교육부/CTN]가요진 기자= 최교진 교육부 장관은 "어린이의 안전을 위해서는 유치원과 학교에서 이루어지는 안전교육뿐만 아니라 가정에서 화재에 대비할 수 있는 안전망을 미리 마련하는 것이 중요하다"라며 "보호자께서 119안심콜 가입에 관심을 갖고 적극적으로 참여해 주시길 부탁드린다"라고 말했다. 교육부와 소방청은 유치원·초등학생 및 보호자를 대상으로 화재 대피 안내 기능이 추가된 '119안심콜' 가입 집중 홍보에 나섰다.
교육부와 소방청에 따르면 지난해 부산에서 보호자 부재 중 발생한 화재로 어린이 자매 4명이 목숨을 잃은 사고를 계기로 기존 119안심콜에 화재 대피 안내 기능이 신설됐다.
보호자가 누리집이나 QR코드로 접속해 대상자 정보를 등록하면, 화재 발생 시 119상황실에서 대상자나 보호자에게 직접 전화해 대피 방법을 안내하고 공동주택 동 거주자에게 문자를 발송하는 방식이다. 교육부와 소방청은 가정통신문과 알림앱 등을 통해 가입 확대를 추진한다.
비극적인 사고를 계기로 취약계층 대피 시스템을 보완하고 관계 부처가 협력해 안전망을 안내하는 조치 자체는 행정기관의 마땅한 소임이다.
