[병무청/CTN]가요진 기자= 홍소영 병무청장이 대회 개최 소감을 밝히며 "각 기관의 공공데이터를 연계한 창의적인 아이디어와 다양한 서비스 기술을 선보여주신 참가자 여러분의 열정과 노고에 깊은 감사의 말씀을 드리며, 대회를 통해 얻은 소중한 통찰력과 경험은 앞으로 공공데이터 개방과 활용을 확대하는 데 큰 밑거름이 될 것"이라고 밝혔다. 병무청(청장 홍소영)은 방위사업청, 질병관리청과 합동으로 추진한 '공공데이터·AI 활용 경진대회' 시상식을 오송생명과학단지지원센터 후생관에서 개최했다고 발표했다.
병무청에 따르면 이번 경진대회는 3개 기관의 공공데이터를 활용한 아이디어가 실제 창업과 사업화로 이어지도록 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.
공모 결과 아이디어 기획과 제품·서비스 개발 등 2개 분야에서 총 144건이 접수되어 전년 대비 2.5배 증가했다. 전문가 평가를 거쳐 선정된 9건의 수상작에는 병무청장상 등의 포상과 총 1,800만 원 규모의 상금이 수여됐다. 병무청은 대상 수상작을 행정안전부 주관 본선 대회에 추천하고, 일부 편의 서비스는 실제 병무행정 시스템에 반영할 계획이라고 덧붙였다.
