[법제처/CTN]가요진 기자= 조원철 법제처장이 31일 실무수습 수료를 맞아 "이론을 넘어 실무 감각을 익힌 의미 있는 시간이 되었기를 바란다"라며 "법제 전문성뿐만 아니라 공익적 가치도 겸비한 법조인으로서 사회문제와 법령의 간극을 메우는 역할을 해 주기를 기대한다"라고 밝혔다. 법제처는 전국 법학전문대학원 재학생을 대상으로 진행한 '제34기 실무수습'을 성공적으로 마무리했다고 발표했다.
법제처에 따르면 이번 실무수습은 7월 20일부터 31일까지 2주간 진행됐으며, 건국대와 고려대 등 총 13개 법학전문대학원 재학생 15명이 참석해 전원 수료했다. 지난 2010년 시작된 법제처 실무수습 프로그램의 누적 수료자는 총 1,158명에 달하는 것으로 집계됐다.
실무수습 기간 동안 법제처는 예비 법조인들에게 행정부의 입법 심사와 법령 해석, 자문 등 주요 업무와 관련된 실무 경험을 제공했다고 설명했다. 아울러 사례 중심의 실습 과제 수행과 선배 법조인과의 진로 상담, 태안 법제교육원 현장 방문 등을 진행했다. 충북대 로스쿨 권재현 수습생과 경북대 로스쿨 윤현선 수습생 등 참여자들의 긍정적인 소감을 전한 법제처는 내년 1월에도 제35기 실무수습을 개최해 법제 전문 법조인 양성을 이어갈 계획이라고 덧붙였다.
