[경주/CTN]이수현 기자= 주낙영 경주시장은 "도내 자동차 부품산업의 중심지인 경주에서 이번 공개토론회를 개최하게 돼 뜻깊다"라며 "지역 부품기업의 미래차 전환을 앞당기고 산·학·연·관의 협력 기반을 더욱 강화하겠다"라고 말했다.
경상북도 경주는 9월 15일 경주화백컨벤션센터(HICO)에서 '2026 경북 국제 미래 모빌리티 공개토론회'를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
경주시와 경북도가 주최하고 경북테크노파크가 주관한 이번 행사에는 산업계와 학계, 연구기관 관계자 등 200여 명이 참석했다.
행사에서는 현대자동차와 카카오모빌리티 등 주요 기업 관계자들의 강연과 함께 지역 자동차 부품기업의 대응 전략을 논의하는 정책토론이 이어졌다.
경주는 자동차 부품산업의 미래차 전환을 지원하기 위해 외동읍 구어2산업단지에 '경주 이(e)-모빌리티 연구단지'를 조성 중이다.
현재 첨단소재 성형가공센터 등 3개 연구개발 센터가 운영되고 있으며, 국비 50억 원을 투입해 '미래자동차 편의안전기술 연구센터'를 추가로 건립할 계획이다.
경주시는 4개 R&D 센터를 거점으로 삼아 지역 자동차 부품 생태계의 기술 경쟁력을 높여가겠다고 밝혔다.
