Gyeongju City announced on September 2 that Mayor Nak-young Joo met with the Secretaries-General of the Korea-China-Japan ASEAN Centers to discuss expanding international cooperation.
The visit was organized in conjunction with the 22nd Annual Secretary-General Meeting of the Korea-China-Japan ASEAN Centers held in Gyeongju.
Distinguished attendees included Jaesin Kim (Korea-ASEAN), Lizhong Zhang (China-ASEAN), and Kunihiko Hirabayashi (Japan-ASEAN).
Alongside the main conference, Gyeongju is hosting the 'ASEAN+3 Youth Retreat' from September 1 to 4, bringing together ASEAN international students and East Asian youth for historical tours and collaborative programs.
Gyeongju City stated that it intends to leverage its international city network to continue expanding multilateral diplomatic and youth exchange programs.
