충남지역본부는 최근 재해복구사업을 완료한 배수장과 현재 농촌용수개발사업이 한창인 저수지 공사 현장을 대상으로 특별 안전점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 점검에는 공사 이정문 농지관리이사가 직접 예산군 성리1배수장과 공주시 덕곡지구 농촌용수개발사업 현장을 방문했다.

이 이사는 공사 진행 상황을 면밀히 살피는 한편, 집중호우에 대비한 현장 안전조치와 비상 대비 태세를 집중적으로 점검했다.

충남지역본부는 이번 주말부터 예고된 호우에 대응해 국지성 폭우 및 야간 기습 폭우에 즉각 대처할 수 있는 비상대응체계를 가동한다.

실시간 기상 모니터링, 취약구간 순찰 강화, 관계기관과의 신속한 정보 공유를 통해 상황 관리에 만전을 기할 방침이다.

이정문 상임이사는 현장에서 "기상 상황에 맞춰 위험지역 접근을 철저히 통제하고, 재난문자와 SNS 등을 활용해 국민행동요령을 적극 홍보해야 한다"며 "단 한 건의 인명피해나 재해사고도 발생하지 않도록 최선을 다해달라"고 강력히 당부했다.

한편, 현재 천안을 비롯한 충남본부 관내 13개 지사의 평균 저수율은 54.2%를 기록하고 있다. 충남지역본부는 호우 시 유입량이 많을 것으로 예상되는 저수지의 수위를 홍수기 관리수위 이하로 사전 조절하고 있다.

또한 상습 침수 구역의 배수장 정비, 배수로 준설, 양수기 및 이동식 엔진펌프 등 수방자재 전진 배치를 통해 선제적 재해 예방 조치를 완료했다고 밝혔다.

During this inspection, Jung-moon Lee, the KRC's Executive Director of Farmland Management, personally visited the Seongri 1 Drainage Station in Yesan-gun and the Deokgok District Rural Water Development Project site in Gongju-si. Director Lee closely examined the progress of the construction and focused on checking onsite safety measures and emergency preparedness against heavy rains.
With heavy rain forecasted starting this weekend, the Chungnam Regional Headquarters plans to operate an immediate emergency response system to counter localized torrential rains and nighttime downpours. The headquarters will ensure thorough situation management through real-time weather monitoring, strengthened patrols in vulnerable areas, and swift information sharing with related agencies.
"We must strictly control access to dangerous areas according to weather conditions and actively promote public action guidelines using disaster texts and social media," Executive Director Jung-moon Lee urged at the site. He added, "Please do your utmost to ensure that not a single casualty or disaster accident occurs."
Meanwhile, the average water storage rate of the 13 branches under the Chungnam Headquarters, including Cheonan, currently stands at 54.2%. The Chungnam Regional Headquarters stated that it is proactively lowering the water levels of reservoirs expected to have high inflow during heavy rains to below the flood-control level. In addition, the headquarters has completed preemptive disaster prevention measures by maintaining drainage stations in habitually flooded areas, dredging drainage channels, and deploying flood control equipment such as water pumps and mobile engine pumps.
