[서산/CTN]가금현 기자= 서산시 동문2동 통장협의회(회장 최일환)가 본격적인 장마철을 앞두고 안전한 마을 조성을 위해 팔을 걷어붙였다.
동문2동 통장협의회는 6월 10일, 관내 주요 시내 일대에서 빗물받이 환경정비 활동을 실시했다.
이날 활동에는 최일환 통장협의회장을 비롯한 통장들과 유영모 동문2동장, 동 행정복지센터 직원 등이 참석해 구슬땀을 흘렸다.
참여자들은 빗물받이 내부를 가득 채운 퇴적물과 쓰레기를 수거하고, 배수를 방해하는 덮개 등을 정비하며 집중호우 시 침수 피해를 예방하는 데 총력을 기울였다.
지난해에도 동문2동 통장협의회는 자발적으로 빗물받이 청소를 실시한 바 있으며, 철저한 사전 대비 덕분에 큰 폭우 속에서도 단 한 건의 침수 피해 없이 안전하게 여름을 보낼 수 있었다.
이러한 성과를 바탕으로 올해도 어김없이 시민의 안전을 위한 방재 활동에 앞장선 것이다.
