[정치/CTN]가금현 기자 = 더불어민주당 박수현 충남도지사 후보와 3선 중진인 어기구 국회의원(농림축산식품해양수산위원장)이 25일 당진시 전통 장날을 맞아 당진시장오거리에서 김기재 당진시장 후보 지원을 위한 대규모 합동유세를 펼치며 압도적인 지지를 호소했다.

이날 합동유세에서 민주당 충남 지도부와 당진 지역 후보들은 “이재명 정부와 함께 더 큰 당진, 새로운 충남을 만들겠다”며 장터를 찾은 시민들과 상인들을 향해 세몰이에 나섰다.
가장 먼저 마이크를 잡은 박수현 충남도지사 후보는 “이재명 정부의 성공을 충청남도가 힘 있게 뒷받침해야 한다”고 포문을 열었다. 박 후보는 “당진은 친환경 에너지 도시 육성, 충청권 대표 무역항 당진항 조성, 제2서해대교 건설, 당진~아산 고속도로 추진, 음섬포구 중심 해양관광도시 조성 등 이재명 대통령의 핵심 공약이 집중된 충남 서해안의 허브이자 핵심 도시”라며 당진의 전략적 가치를 강조했다.
이어 박 후보는 김기재 당진시장 후보의 핵심 공약인 ▲제2서해대교 국가계획 반영 ▲당진형 AI·데이터 기반 제조혁신 허브 구축 ▲석탄화력발전소 폐지 대응 및 정의로운 전환 ▲충남경제자유구역 송산지구 지정 ▲수소·그린스틸 산업클러스터 조성 ▲군부대 이전 및 미래복합거점 조성 ▲해양경찰 인재개발원 조기 완공 ▲24시간 소아청소년진료센터 구축 ▲당진 생태호수공원 조성 등을 일일이 거론했다.
박 후보는 “김기재 후보가 구상한 ‘더 큰 당진’의 청사진을 충남도가 예산과 행정력으로 강력하게 뒷받침하겠다”며 “중앙정부와 국회, 충남도와 당진시가 완벽한 하나의 팀으로 움직여야 발전 속도를 획기적으로 높일 수 있다. 이재명 대통령과 함께 일할 기호 1번 박수현과 김기재를 선택해달라”고 전폭적인 지지를 당부했다.
이어 지원 사격에 나선 어기구 국회의원은 3선 중진의 무게감을 실어 ‘집권여당 원팀론’을 강력히 피력했다. 어 의원은 “이제는 집권여당의 강력한 힘으로 당진 발전을 완성해야 할 시간”이라며 “대통령과 호흡을 맞추며 국비를 가져올 수 있는 도지사와 시장을 선택해야 지역 현안과 대형 예산 사업들이 막힘없이 속도감 있게 추진될 수 있다”고 목소리를 높였다. 또한 “중앙정부, 충남도, 당진시의 가교 역할을 할 적임자는 검증된 일꾼 김기재뿐”이라며 원팀 승리를 자신했다.
이에 김기재 당진시장 후보는 격정적인 연설로 시민들의 환호에 화답했다. 김 후보는 “오늘 유세가 열리는 당진시장오거리는 당진 경제와 민생의 중심이자 시민들의 치열한 삶의 현장”이라며 “침체된 전통시장과 원도심을 반드시 살려내고, 시민들이 피부로 체감할 수 있는 확실한 경제적 변화를 만들어내겠다”고 다짐했다. 이어 “민주당 후보들과 함께 오직 당진의 미래와 시민의 행복만 바라보고 뛰겠다”며 소중한 한 표를 호소했다.
한편, 이날 합동유세에는 사물놀이의 거장 김덕수 명인이 찬조연설자로 깜짝 등장해 눈길을 끌었다. 김덕수 명인은 “충남과 당진을 세계적인 문화·관광·역사의 중심 도시로 품격 있게 발전시킬 유능한 후보가 필요하다”며 박수현 후보와 김기재 후보에 대한 전폭적인 지지를 호소해 유세장 분위기를 최고조로 이끌었다.

Lawmaker Eo Gi-gu, who spoke next, brought the weight of a veteran three-term politician to strongly advocate the "Ruling Party One-Team Theory." Meanwhile, Master Kim Duk-soo, a legendary figure in Samulnori (Korean traditional percussion music), made a surprise appearance at the rally as a guest speaker, capturing the crowd's attention. Master Kim Duk-soo drew loud applause from citizens as he made an earnest plea for support, saying, "We need competent candidates who can elegantly develop Chungcheongnam-do and Dangjin City into global centers of culture, tourism, and history.
