[경찰청/CTN]가요진 기자= 유재성 경찰청장 직무대행이 21일 주한 크로아티아 대사관에서 열린 협약식에서 "크로아티아와의 관광 분야 협력은 우리 국민 보호를 위한 현장 중심의 협력 모델로 발전해 왔으며, 이번 경찰협력 양해각서 체결은 양국 경찰 간 협력 범위를 확대하고 실질적인 치안 협력을 강화하는 계기가 될 것이다"라며 "앞으로도 해외에서 우리 국민의 안전을 확보하고 국제 공조 역량을 강화하기 위해 지속해서 노력하겠다"라고 밝혔다. 경찰청은 하계 휴가철 크로아티아를 방문하는 우리 국민의 안전 확보를 위해 7월 14일부터 8월 13일까지 약 한 달간 주요 관광지에 경찰관 2명을 파견하고 크로아티아 내무부와 경찰협력 양해각서(MOU)를 체결했다고 발표했다.
