“땀 흘려 키운 초록빛 나눔”... 천안 도시농부들, 이웃 사랑의 결실 맺다

[천안/CTN]강현수 기자 = 도시 농업이 단순한 여가를 넘어 이웃과의 정을 나누는 따뜻한 공동체 문화로 승화되고 있다. 천안시농업기술센터는 지난 14일 천안도시농부학교 10기 교육생들이 직접 재배한 친환경 쌈채소를 지역사회에 기부하며 나눔의 가치를 실천했다고 밝혔다.
이날 기부된 채소는 교육생들이 정성을 다해 친환경 공법으로 키워낸 꽃상추와 청상추, 적상추 등으로 대한적십자봉사회 천안지구와 충남시각장애인복지관에 각각 전달됐다. 서툰 손길이었지만 이웃을 생각하는 마음으로 길러낸 초록빛 결실들은 수확의 기쁨을 넘어 소외된 이웃들에게 따뜻한 위로의 메시지를 전하는 매개체가 됐다.
천안도시농부학교의 이번 나눔 행보는 일회성에 그치지 않고 내달 4일까지 매주 수확한 채소를 소외계층과 복지시설에 지속적으로 전달할 계획이다. 김승래 천안도시농부학교 자치위원회장은 "서툰 손길이지만 교육생들의 진심이 담긴 쌈채소가 이웃들에게 작은 위로가 되길 바란다"고 소회를 밝혔다.
현장 지도를 맡은 박종혁 농촌지도사 역시 "이번 나눔을 통해 교육생들은 수확의 보람을, 지역사회에는 따뜻한 정을 나누는 소중한 기회가 됐다"며 "도시농업의 진정한 가치가 나눔을 통해 완성될 수 있었다"고 강조했다.

The vegetables donated that day, including flower lettuce, green lettuce, and red lettuce grown by the trainees with eco-friendly methods, were delivered to the Red Cross Volunteer Society Cheonan District and the Chungnam Welfare Center for the Blind. Although grown with unskilled hands, the green fruits raised with hearts thinking of neighbors became a medium for delivering a warm message of comfort to the marginalized, going beyond the joy of harvest.
This sharing move by the Cheonan City Farmer School will not end as a one-time event, but plans to continuously deliver vegetables harvested every week to the underprivileged and welfare facilities until June 4. Kim Seung-rae, Chairman of the Cheonan City Farmer School Autonomous Committee, expressed his feelings, saying, "I hope that the vegetables containing the sincerity of the trainees, though grown with unskilled hands, will be a small comfort to our neighbors."
Rural Guidance Officer Park Jong-hyeok, who was in charge of field guidance, also emphasized, "Through this sharing, it was a precious opportunity for trainees to feel the reward of harvest and for the local community to share warm affection," adding, "The true value of urban agriculture could be completed through sharing."
