[천안/CTN]강현수 기자 = 천안문화재단이 오는 10월 대한민국을 넘어 세계를 춤추게 할 ‘천안흥타령춤축제 2026’의 무대를 빛낼 주인공들을 찾아 나섰다. 재단은 지난 13일 축제의 핵심인 춤 경연 참가팀 모집을 공식 발표하며 글로벌 축제로의 도약을 예고했다.
모집 분야는 전국춤경연대회와 거리댄스 퍼레이드를 포함한 총 6개 부문이다. 전국춤경연대회는 일반부, 청소년부, 흥타령부로 세분화해 전 연령층이 무대 위에서 자신의 끼를 발산할 수 있도록 문호를 개방했다. 부대 경연으로는 전국 대학생들의 젊은 열기가 기대되는 전국대학 무용경연대회와 전국대학 치어리딩 대회가 마련되어 축제에 활력을 더할 전망이다.
축제의 백미로 꼽히는 거리댄스 퍼레이드는 도심 한복판을 화려한 퍼포먼스로 가득 채우며 시민들과 관광객들에게 잊지 못할 흥을 선사할 것으로 보인다. 재단은 참가자들의 사기 진작을 위해 시상 규모도 대폭 확보했다. 전국춤경연대회 우수 30팀에게 8,000만 원을, 거리댄스 퍼레이드 우수 10팀에게는 4,200만 원의 상금을 수여해 참가팀들의 치열한 경합이 예상된다.

On May 13, the foundation officially announced the recruitment of participating teams for the dance competitions, the core of the festival, signaling a leap forward as a global festival.
The recruitment categories consist of a total of six sectors, including the National Dance Competition and the Street Dance Parade. The National Dance Competition is subdivided into General, Youth, and Heungtaryeong divisions, opening its doors for all age groups to showcase their talents on stage. As side competitions, the National University Dance Competition and the National University Cheerleading Competition are prepared, expected to infuse the festival with the youthful energy of college students from across the country.
