[천안/CTN]강현수 기자 = 천안시가 대학 축제의 뜨거운 열기 속으로 직접 뛰어들어 청년층과 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 한 감염병 예방 전파에 나섰다.
시는 지난 13일 남서울대학교 축제 현장에서 충청권질병대응센터와 합동으로 감염병 예방 홍보 캠페인을 추진했다고 밝혔다. 이번 캠페인은 결핵과 에이즈는 물론, 최근 야외 활동 증가로 우려되는 진드기 매개 감염병에 대한 정확한 정보를 전달하고 예방 관리의 엄중함을 일깨우기 위해 마련됐다.
특히 시는 봄철 나들이객이 늘어나는 시점임을 고려해 긴 옷 착용, 기피제 사용, 활동 후 즉시 세탁 및 샤워 등 일상에서 즉각 실천할 수 있는 진드기 예방 수칙을 집중적으로 홍보했다. 축제의 특성을 살려 학생들과 외국인 유학생들이 거부감 없이 참여할 수 있도록 퀴즈를 활용한 체험형 이벤트를 병행했으며, 실용적인 홍보 물품을 배부해 현장의 큰 호응을 이끌어냈다.
이현기 서북구보건소장은 "대학생들이 축제를 즐기는 과정에서 다양한 감염병 예방 정보를 자연스럽고 재미있게 접할 수 있길 기대한다"며 "앞으로도 건강한 지역사회를 지켜내기 위해 시민들의 눈높이에 맞춘 현장 중심의 예방 홍보를 끊임없이 추진해 나갈 것"이라고 강조했다.

The city announced on the 13th that it carried out an infectious disease prevention promotion campaign at the Namseoul University festival site in collaboration with the Chungcheong Center for Disease Control and Prevention. This campaign was prepared to deliver accurate information on tuberculosis and AIDS, as well as tick-borne infectious diseases—which are a concern due to increased outdoor activities—and to highlight the seriousness of prevention and management.
In particular, considering the increase in spring outings, the city focused on promoting tick prevention rules that can be practiced immediately in daily life, such as wearing long sleeves, using repellents, and washing clothes and showering immediately after outdoor activities. Taking advantage of the festival's characteristics, the city held participatory events using quizzes to encourage students and international students to join without hesitation, drawing a great response with practical promotional items.
Lee Hyun-ki, Director of the Seobuk-gu Public Health Center, emphasized, "I hope that university students can access various infectious disease prevention information easily and enjoyably while enjoying the festival. We will continue to promote prevention tailored to the citizens' level to protect a healthy local community."
