[천안/CTN]강현수 기자 = 천안시가 내달 본격적인 운행을 앞둔 관광택시의 서비스 완성도를 높이기 위해 타 지자체의 선진 운영 사례를 직접 체험하고 실무 역량을 점검하는 강도 높은 현장 훈련을 단행했다.
시는 지난 13일 충청북도 제천시 일원에서 관광택시 운행 기사들을 대상으로 현장 실무 교육을 실시했다. 이번 교육은 오는 6월 4일부터 시범 운영될 천안 관광택시 사업의 조기 안착과 관광객 만족도 극대화를 위해 기획됐다. 시는 이미 두 차례의 사전 교육을 통해 시스템 운용과 기본 안내 수칙을 전수한 바 있으며, 이번 3차 교육은 기사들이 실제 관광객의 입장에서 서비스를 체감하는 현장 중심의 학습으로 진행됐다.
훈련에 참여한 12명의 운행 기사들은 제천의 대표적 관광지인 의림지와 청풍문화유산단지 등을 직접 이동하며 관광객의 효율적인 이동 동선 설계와 주요 명소 간의 유기적인 연계 방식을 세밀하게 살폈다. 특히 현장에서는 전문적인 관광 해설 사례와 기사들의 응대 요령을 집중적으로 학습했으며, 실제 운영 환경에서 발생할 수 있는 다양한 변수들에 대한 대응 방안을 모색하며 천안형 관광택시에 즉각 접목할 서비스 개선책을 도출했다.
이계자 관광과장은 “관광택시는 단순히 이동 수단을 넘어 지역 관광의 첫인상을 결정짓는 핵심적인 서비스”라며 “지속적이고 전문적인 교육을 통해 기사들의 운영 역량과 서비스 품질을 전국 최고 수준으로 끌어올리겠다”고 강조했다.

[Cheonan/CTN] Reporter Kang Hyun-su = Cheonan City has conducted intensive field training to experience advanced operational cases from other local governments and inspect practical capabilities to enhance the service perfection of tourism taxis ahead of their official launch next month.
On May 13, the city held field practical training for tourism taxi drivers in the Jecheon area of Chungcheongbuk-do. This training was designed for the early settlement of the Cheonan Tourism Taxi pilot project, scheduled to operate from June 4, and to maximize tourist satisfaction. The city had already completed basic training on system operation and general guidance through two prior sessions, and this third session was conducted as field-centered learning where drivers could experience services from the actual perspective of a tourist.
The 12 participating drivers traveled through Jecheon's representative tourist spots, such as Uirimji and Cheongpung Cultural Heritage Complex, closely examining efficient movement routes for tourists and organic connection methods between major attractions. In particular, they focused on learning professional tourism commentary cases and driver response tips, seeking solutions for various variables that may occur in actual operating environments, and derived service improvement measures to be immediately applied to Cheonan-style tourism taxis.
Lee Gye-ja, head of the Tourism Division, emphasized, "Tourism taxis are a key service that determines the first impression of local tourism beyond being a simple means of transportation. We will raise the operational capabilities and service quality of drivers to the highest level in the country through continuous and professional education."
