[천안/CTN]강현수 기자 = 천안시가 가정의 달을 맞아 행정의 심장부인 시청 로비를 가족 사랑의 공간으로 탈바꿈시키며 아빠들의 적극적인 육아 참여를 독려하는 문화 확산에 나섰다.
시는 오는 16일까지 시청 1층 로비에서 천안시건강가정지원센터가 주관한 육아하는 아빠 사진 공모전 수상작 전시회를 개최한다. 이번 전시회는 단순히 사진을 나열하는 행사를 넘어 가족의 진정한 소중함을 시민들과 공유하고, 남성의 육아 참여가 자연스러운 일상이 되는 가족 친화적인 사회 분위기를 조성하기 위해 기획됐다.
전시 현장에는 아빠들의 치열하면서도 따뜻한 육아 활동이 고스란히 담긴 사진 30점이 관람객들을 맞이하고 있다. 이 중 엄격한 심사를 거쳐 최종 선정된 우수작 8점은 향후 열릴 가정의 달 기념식에서 별도로 시상할 예정이며, 전시된 작품들은 부모들에게 공감과 위로를, 일반 시민들에게는 가족의 가치를 다시금 일깨우는 촉매제 역할을 하고 있다.
김장옥 천안시건강가정지원센터장은 “매년 공모전을 향한 부모님들의 뜨거운 관심과 참여가 높아지고 있어 매우 뜻깊게 생각한다”며 “이번 전시를 기점으로 아빠들이 육아의 보조자가 아닌 주체로서 참여하는 문화가 지역 사회 전반에 더욱 견고하게 확산되길 바란다”고 말했다.

[Cheonan/CTN] Reporter Kang Hyun-su = Cheonan City has transformed its City Hall lobby, the heart of its administration, into a space of family love to mark Family Month and promote a culture where fathers actively participate in parenting.
The city is hosting an exhibition of winning works from the "Fathers Who Parent" photo contest, organized by the Cheonan Healthy Family Support Center, on the first floor of City Hall until May 16. This exhibition goes beyond a simple display of photographs; it is designed to share the true value of family with citizens and foster a family-friendly social atmosphere where men's involvement in childcare becomes a natural part of daily life.
The exhibition features 30 photographs capturing the intense yet heartwarming parenting activities of fathers. Among them, eight outstanding works selected through a rigorous screening process will be awarded at the upcoming Family Month ceremony. These displayed works serve as a catalyst for empathy and comfort among parents and remind general citizens of the importance of family values.
Kim Jang-ok, Director of the Cheonan Healthy Family Support Center, stated, "It is very meaningful that the interest and participation of parents in the contest are increasing every year. Starting with this exhibition, I hope the culture of fathers participating as primary caregivers rather than just assistants will spread more firmly throughout the local community."
Kim Seok-pil, Acting Mayor and Vice Mayor of Cheonan, emphasized, "I hope that citizens visiting City Hall will take this opportunity to once again cherish the warmth and preciousness of family while looking at the photos. We will concentrate all administrative capabilities on completing Cheonan as a family-friendly city where giving birth to and raising children is a blessing, not a struggle."
This photo exhibition is a symbolic site showing that fatherly parenting is settling into a landscape of ordinary daily life rather than a special event.
