[CTN/서산]가금현 기자= 현대 사회에서 위기 청소년들이 겪는 심리적·정서적 어려움은 점차 복합적이고 심층적으로 변하고 있다.

이에 따라 위기(가능) 청소년의 삶의 현장을 직접 찾아가 1:1 상담과 사례관리를 제공하고, 필요한 지역사회 자원을 연계하여 건강한 성장과 회복을 돕는 찾아가는 상담 전문인력인 '청소년동반자'의 역할이 그 어느 때보다 중요해지고 있다.

서산시청소년상담복지센터는 그동안 개인상담, 심리검사, 청소년동반자 프로그램, 1388청소년전화 및 긴급구조 등 맞춤형 서비스를 통해 지역 청소년들의 든든한 안전망 역할을 수행해 왔다.

그러나 최근 증가하는 고위기 청소년 상담 현장에서 발생할 수 있는 다양한 변수와 복합적인 상황에 더욱 효과적으로 대응하기 위해서는 전문적인 자문과 상담 역량의 질적 성장이 필수적으로 요구되었다.

이를 위해 센터는 전문상담사 1급 자격을 갖춘 서미정심리상담센터장을 슈퍼바이저로 초청했다. 자문 과정에서는 청소년동반자들이 현장에서 실제 상담을 진행 중인 고위기 청소년 사례를 중심으로 심층적인 분석이 이뤄졌으며, 효과적인 상담 개입 방향 설정과 상담사의 역할에 대한 실질적이고 전문적인 솔루션이 공유되었다.

이처럼 고위기 청소년에 대한 이해도를 높이고 청소년동반자의 전문적인 사례 개입 역량을 극대화하기 위한 핵심 사업으로, 서산시청소년상담복지센터는 2026년 7월 15일 오전 10시 "상담사례 자문회의"를 본격 개최했다.

행사의 의미를 강조하며 유인화 센터장은 "청소년동반자는 위기 청소년을 가장 가까운 곳에서 만나 지속적으로 함께하는 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있다"며 "앞으로도 정기적인 자문회의를 통해 상담사의 전문성을 지속적으로 강화하고, 위기 청소년이 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 더욱 촘촘한 상담·지원 체계를 구축해 나가겠다"고 의지를 표명했다.

Consequently, the role of 'Youth Companions'—specialized mobile counseling personnel who directly visit youth in potential or active crisis to provide one-on-one counseling, case management, and necessary community resource connections for healthy growth and recovery—has become more critical than ever.
The Seosan City Youth Counseling & Welfare Center has been acting as a robust safety net for local youth by providing customized services such as individual counseling, psychological testing, the Youth Companion program, and the 1388 Youth Helpline and emergency rescue services. However, to effectively respond to the diverse variables and complicated situations arising in counseling fields involving high-risk youth, expert consultation and qualitative growth in counseling capabilities have become essential requirements.
To address this need, the center invited Seo Mi-jung, Head of the Seo Mi-jung Psychological Counseling Center and a Level 1 Certified Professional Counselor, to serve as a supervisor. During the consultation process, an in-depth analysis was conducted focusing on real-world high-risk youth cases currently being managed by Youth Companions. Practical and professional solutions regarding effective counseling intervention directions and the role of the counselors were actively shared.
As a core initiative to deepen the understanding of high-risk youth and maximize the professional case intervention capabilities of Youth Companions, the Seosan City Youth Counseling & Welfare Center officially convened the "Counseling Case Consultation Meeting" at 10:00 AM on July 15, 2026.
Emphasizing the significance of the event, Director Yoo In-hwa stated, "Youth Companions play a vital role in meeting crisis youth at their closest proximity and continuously standing by their side." She affirmed her commitment, adding, "We will continue to strengthen our counselors' expertise through regular consultation meetings and build a more comprehensive counseling and support system so that youth in crisis can grow up healthily."
