시는 지난 19일 시청 중회의실에서 김석필 천안시장 권한대행 부시장 주재로 ‘2027년 정부예산 확보 추진상황 보고회’를 전격 개최하고, 주요 핵심 현안 사업의 국비 확보 전략과 향후 단계별 대응 방안을 정밀 점검했다. 이번 보고회는 지난 2월 개최된 1차 보고회와 3월 지역 국회의원 간담회 이후의 구체적인 추진 상황을 재점검하고, 중앙부처의 자체 예산안 편성이 임박한 시점에서 실질적이고 가시적인 대응 전략을 수립하기 위해 마련됐다.
천안시가 최종 설정한 2027년도 정부예산 확보 목표액은 총 1조 4,988억 원이다. 현재 시가 다각적인 행정망을 통해 파악한 중앙부처 예산안 반영액은 당초 목표를 상회하는 1조 5,777억 원 규모로 집계돼 국비 확보에 청신호가 켜진 상태다. 이날 회의에서는 시의 미래 지형을 바꿀 핵심 현안인 AX(인공지능 전환) 실증산단 구축사업, 공공임대형 천안지식산업센터 건립, K-컬처박람회 개최 지원, 국도 및 국지도 건설, 철도·교통 인프라 확충, 하수관로 정비 및 재해예방사업 등의 부처별 반영 상황을 송곳 점검하고 구체적인 방어 전략을 논의했다.
